The first room we were given was in total disrepair- peeling paint. very old & outdated, dirty- I requested a newer room. Was told the only updated rooms were smoking- we agreed to try that because they said they were just completed. That room reeked- we again said it was unacceptable. Third room- again- shower/tub dirty- black hair in tub (my grandaughter & I have very light hair)- a note in the room stated- water will be shut off 30 to 45 minutes. No water at 10am- still no water at 4pm. When I complained- they told me to go shower at the "Health Club" (Floor 15) The "pool" is nothing but a lap pool- used by "Fitness Club Members" When I asked where my granddaughter & I could swim- were told to stay in the corner of lap one. Escalaters always out of service- 3 elevaters to handle 45 floors of "guests". I spoke with many other out-of-town 'guests'- as far as England- awful-awful-awful- Do not stay here!!!!!!

The Crowne Plaza is the ideal place to stay when in New York - in the middle of Time Square, close to many subway stops and just a short walk to Central Park. The rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel bar is a great place to hang out before hitting the town.

LOVE the Customer Service of the Concierge!!! I was part of an "all girls' weekend" to NYC to see the Phantom of the Opera. One evening, we had some spare time so we stopped at the Concierge Center for information on entertainment. They highly recommended a new play hitting Broadway... in fact it was opening that night and they could obtain tickets! Well, 2 of us couldn't pass that up however we had only 15 minutes to get there!!! So while the 2 of us were 'getting ready'... the Concierge had the tickets delivered and waiting for us at their desk! It was unbelievable, with their immediate response and attention to detail on having EVERYTHING ready for us; we made the show in time! It was wonderful!!! The quality of service the people shown us has determined my next stay will be with this hotel. Besides having a wonderful staff, the hotel has a terrific view of the city and an "ehem" bonus is having Hershey's Chocolate store right there for those fixes which couldn't be ignored! Thanks to them, my experience in NYC was a great one and unforgettable!

Good location for EY offices. Requested a quieter room and was sufficiently high up and at the back of the hotel not to be troubled by noise from Times Square Rooms could do with a face lift!
