The hotel staff was very helpful, the room was very large in comparison to other hotels I have stayed in NYC before, good central location close to major subway stop. Will definitely recommend and stay here again.

This hotel was great in my opinion; speaking as a single tourist I was very happy with my choise. The location was a little seedy at night, but I had no problems walking around after dark (plus the subway was quite close as well, just around the corner). The room was bigger than I had expected; very comfortable, the bed was good, and the bathroom as well. Breakfast was included, but I didn?t eat it so no opinion about that. Overall I was very pleased.

+hotel staff were friendly -There are a lot of 'un-savoury types' hanging around the outside of the hotel. Not a hotel to impress your missus. Go a few blocks higher or a few blocks lower for a better location. The room was very warm and the heating could not be controlled.

Loved our room and the view. Easy access to Times Square, shopping and all major attactions.. Doorman very helpful and friendly...always had a cab waiting. Parking a few blocks away, but hotel gives you a discount. Can't wait to visit again!

+Hotellet er alt for dyrt for hva du får igjen. -Mørkt rom. Dårlig og dødt område.

Untill recently I had always had nothing but good expieriences with this hotel. I made my reservation mid october. When I arrived to check in the rate that I had been quoted had changed. Though it may have been a fair rate it for that time of year. It was in fact different than what I was quoted. When I pointed it out they gladly agreed that the orignial quoted rate would stand.

Has to be the best kept secret in New York, saw the hotel reviews and thought that it looked a good option. Travelling with my wife and 18 & 20 year old kids I booked a suite and it was well worth it, had to be more than twice the size of any previous rooms that I had stayed at in NY and at a very competitive price. We had a fabulous view of the Empire State Building, the room was spotless when we arrived and kept this way by housekeeping during our 6 day visit. Nothing was to much bother for any of the staff and they went out of their way to assist with all of our enquiries.

+ The size of the room was very good and also the cleanliness. Also it was very fresh since the hotel was new renovated in August 2006.

When we first arrived in Manhattan at night and decided to walk from Penn Station to the hotel, I was feeling a little hesitant. The neighborhood is not the nicest, or cleanest, but my friend and I (both mid-20s females) never felt threatened. Don't blink, or you'll miss the entrance to the hotel! The hotel was very clean on the inside, and the staff was courteous. I'd heard that there were rooms with a view of the Empire State Building and had requested a room with a view. I was very pleased to find that my request had been granted, giving us a breathtaking view of the ESB. Our room was pretty spacious by New York standards, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was reasonably quiet, and we could hear no street noise. The continental breakfast was well-stocked, but gets very busy as the 9 am closing approaches. Make sure you eat at the local restaurant recommended by the hotel... it was outstanding!
