+ It was convenient to what we were doing in New York on the lower East Sise. - The lobby area was cold and not conducive to relaxing.

I have visited New York three times and stayed at three different Hotels but this rates as the best. The reason lies simply with its wonderful staff and owner. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of thier way to make my stay there as pleasurable as possible. I would advise anyone going to New York to check this one out.

Full of nostalgia The hotel is a converted tenement building, its decor is as per 1930,s, very comfortable, all rooms are named after early film stars & jazz musicians. We stayed in the John Garfield room which was very comfortable. DVD,s of many old films are available to watch in your room. We have no complaints would stay there again when we return to New York

A New Look at NYC The continental breakfast is very nice and, although we were intimidated at the thought, the subway really was a breeze and a BIG BARGAIN!
