Could have been better... The hotel itself served a purpose. A roof over your head. There were no real luxeries there, the TV only had a handful of channels that were tuned in. Having said that the quality of customer service we recieved from the staff were fantastic. They couldn't have been more helpful.

Turned out ok I have been here before, and don't mind the stairs. Since the room was nice last time, I booked another weekend. They gave me a smoking room (not a smoker) its Feb and freezing air was coming thru the window and the radiator was not working. Around midnight the first nite I could not stand it any longer. We went down to the desk and with a little arguing finally we were given another room. The room we got was absolutely perfect! Clean, warm and not smelly. I will go back, but if you are not a smoker it might be a good idea to double check the room.

One aspect of convenience It was within walking distance of where I needed to attend a meeting. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Not great, but you will save a few dollars.

Satisfactory for the unbeatable price Although the rooms are small (but clean) and the hotel is not extravagant, it is the great location next to the subway station and close to Central Park that makes this hotel a good choice for everyone who wants to spend his money for the sights of Manhattan or shopping instead of paying an exaggerated amount for his place to sleep.

uncomfortable i found the hotel room to be quite small and uncomfortable. there was no clock in the room, the t.v was near the ceiling with no remote, the bed had small black hairs in the sheets, plus the blanket had countless stains on it!

Under renovation, new baths, clean tidy rooms, nice personnel I was very pleased with this Hostel. The room was small as to be expected, clean and tidy, nice to have my own tv. Only problem I found with room was carpet shows a lot of staining. Shared a double bed with my daughter so we could have used extra pillows. room had towels and wash cloths, shampoo/conditioner and soap. Great value for price. Hotel is obviously going through major renovations - looking great. Pride of ownership (new perhaps) was evident in clean facitity, polished brasswork and friendly/helpful staff ... would return and already planning to. Safe for all ages and convenient to subway and restaurants.

Worst hotel ever! Worst hotel ever-leaking and noisy radiator. Room too small for the bed. Need daily computer code for access. No elevator. Tiny hallways. No attention to complaints. Only local channels on TV. Not worth any price.
