This was a perfect little hotel for my limited budget. The only thing is there is a construction site just next door!! But this is only temporary. The personel was nice and kept our luggage the day we departed as our flight was only in the evening. I would recommend to anyone (except for the stairs, you need stamina!)

If this was the "Amsterdam Hostel" it would be a more appropriate name. I too was looking for something cheap and clean but I would have much rather spent a few extra dollars and not have to walk up 4 flights of stairs. Every floor smelled worse than the one before. It reeked of urine.

Great ubication!Close to Central park, subway and some atractions. Too noisy due construction beside the property. No elevator,no phones,tv with no signal (dish broken!).No reception area.If you have heavy bags you will need help to go upstairs. The staff was friendly.

My husband and I were looking for cheap yet clean accomodation with a great location. We found exactly what we were looking for at the Amsterdam Inn. We paid $130 a night for our room which had a private bath- seems pricey? Well, it WAS Memorial Day weekend.

I stayed at the hotel this summer and it was a bargain. The room was clean, location great in Upper West Side. It had a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. On small side like all other hotels in NY but nice and comfortable.
