The wireless internet and TV didn't work. This was also one of the loudest hotels I've ever stayed in. There was constant noise particularly from the lobby area. The hotel staff were not particularly useful. Take your money elsewhere. The small size and quality of the hotel make this one to miss.

The rooms are small but anyone expecting to find large rooms in new york for this price is crazy. Have had wonderful service from the staff every time and always nice. The location could not be better. The car service to and from the airport is a great deal aswell. But not a place for a whole family to stay because of room size.

This place wasn't worth the amount of money that was paid. The rooms are VERY small and the view was horrible. The elevator was not functioning properly; it was slow and stopped at any floor. At one point during our stay we had to CALL and request for the room to be cleaned. I have stayed at other hotels in NYC and they were less expensive, great location and bigger size. (Travel Inn on 42nd street) One of the members of the staff was rude when we asked which restaurant would be best to order from (delivery); very unprofessional.

For the time I spent there, it was a good value. Co-workers paid twice as much for the Sheraton Towers. While that hotel is nicer, the rooms were the same size.

We could not find the location and nobody knew where it was and it was right next to the spelling bee theater (Gershiwen). They had no soap or washclothes. When I did ask them for soap they gave me shapoo. The room was intersting. It had a TV and a place to sleep that was the good part. They had continetal breakfast was 11 dollars. No convent to where we were going. Please try to find another place and not here!

The only positive thing about this hotel was the location - excellent for Times Sq, Rockerfella and Fifth Avenue shopping, otherwise the experience of this hotel was appalling. The service was incredibly poor - some staff were unhelpful and obstructive. Examples include: after the hotel taking too many reservations, 2 young ladies were expected to walk to another hotel at 11pm with all our luggage. After moving back to this hotel the following morning, we could not access our luggage that was stored by the hotel until 3pm unless we wanted to keep our suitcases with us for the rest of the day. The room was very small, albeit clean, but either very cold or very hot - although it had a double bed there was not really enough room for 2 people.

The room was small but clean. Very close to everything. Service was good too. I would come back.

1st Trip to New York. My partner, (and I), along with our two best best friends stayed at the Amesterdam Court Hotel for 6 days (July 31 - August 6). Here's what you need to know - (Based on my experience) 1. The rooms are SMALL. These are not family friendly rooms, if you are planning to bring kids, be prepared to deal will a rollout bed in a small room, I guarantee, you will lose your mind. 2. You cannot beat the location if you are doing a theater trip, it's pretty fabulous and near the subways if you want to do some sight seeing, I repeat, you cannot beat the location. 3. If you plan to spend a lot of time in your hotel room, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL, these rooms are for sleeping only and really, If you are visiting New York, why would you need to spend time in your room? 4. If you are high maintenance (and you know who you are) DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL. The Amsterdam Court id growing and there are some things that need to be worked out, but the staff was helpful and friendly, there was plenty of hot water for showers and the rooms were clean. 5. Problems I encountered - There were a couple of days that the phone didn't work, there were no windows in our room (Which made you think that it was ALWAYS dark), and our particular room (223) has a big gap under ther door, which makes for you being able to hear all the noise in the hallway. But in all honesty, I would stay there again., because all I need to do in NY is sleep! I do recommend this hotel, just not for families.

As Bette Davis would say - I was extremely disappointed in this place - the only saving grace was the $20 parking across the street at the Gershwin Theater (with validation). We had a small room for 3 people - we had asked for 2 beds but instead received a rollaway. The shower water would not regulate properly - it went from hot to scalding - no cold water! Can you believe that!! The hotel is also in the middle of renovations so the entire lobby is being painted and is a mess. Not worth the $250 I paid for one night!!!!

pros: Good Location, Clean RoomsI recently stayed at the Amsterdam Court hotel while on business. The hotel was under renovation so it's interior was not neat, but the rooms were very clean. They were somewhat small, but that is what you should...
