We stayed here 4 years ago, and the room was amazing! Right on the Broadway St side, view of the Letterman show below us, and plenty of space! This time though, we're stuck on an inside room, which like someone else said, left barely enough room to walk and we couldn't unpack our luggage and be comfortable. It was practically dorm size! The view out the window was just of the rooms right across the way, so that was a bummer. MAKE SURE you ask for a good view room! It's well worth it! Everything else was great.... good staff, nice bar, excellent location!

I have nothing good to say about this hotel but its location. The first room we got was so small we could not unpack our luggage, and there was duck tape around the aircondition so the noice from Brodway was unbelivable. Neither of us slept the first night. The second nigth we got a more quiet room, but as small as the first one. If I could do my trip over again I would have spent alot more money on the hotel. I will not recommend this hotel, get another one!

After reading other reviews, I was rethinking my decision to stay at this hotel during the Thanksgiving Holidays. I'm glad I didn't go somewhere else.

The location is wonderful. 30 sec. from subway station! Great! There are many resturants and cafes in one block distance. The room was little noisy.

I loved everything!! It was my first trip to New York. I loved the views and how close it was to everything. I went ALL over New York for 4 days and everything I needed was right out the front door. The rooms were small, but I guess that is normal. It was clean, private bathrooms, and everyone was really nice. We had pizza delivered at 3am :):) We are planniing another trip soon--- we definately will stay there.

We received a warm, friendly greeting when we checked in early. They kindly stored our bags till we returned later. The location is great, right at the edge of the theater district. It's within walking distance of Times Square and Central Park. Although there's no dining facility, there're plenty of places to eat nearby. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom was modern. Our room faced in, so there was no view, but also there was no street noise to disturb our sleep. I would not hesitate to stay there again on our next trip.

The room was tiny but I had everything I needed. Most staff are accommodating except for that one guy at the entrance in the afternoon shift. Location is really great! - just a few blocks away from Times Square. The only weird thing was, they cleaned up my room, threw my soap away without me telling them so.

Sure, the location can't be beat but if you are looking for a nice place this migh not fit your definition. My room was noisy and smelled bad.

I am only 12 years old and i went to the Ameritania hotel for my first time in New York to stay. The staff greeted us very well and were very polite. We always had the cleaner coming in and asking if our room needed to be cleaned and our room was always in a nice condition. Even when our room keys broke, they took care of it without fuss. One of the good things about the hotel was that the location was very near to all the places we wanted to go so we didn't need to walk far.
