Broken Air Conditioner, lousy attitudes Maybe because it was the weekend, but the staff was not helpful. The room I booked had a broken AC, and the only thing they offered us was a handicap room with no tub. It looked like a hospital room... Horrible, I couldn’t stay there.. Then hotel refused to refund the cost of the room, they refused to refund back to expedia leaving me no choice but to call Hyatt corporate, who is sending me a refund check, plus the Hyatt regional manager is looking into this matter. This Hyatt Place is the wrong place to stay. However Hyatt Corporate did the right thing....

Happy Traveler My hotel room at the Hyatt Place, Secaucus, NJ was very nice...clean, spacious, nicely-funished and quiet. I would highly-recommend this hotel to anyone. The included buffet-style breakfast every morning was very satisfying. Traveler's tip for business travelers The Hyatt Place hotel is only a minute’s walk to the Meadowlands Exposition Center. So, if the MEC is your destination, this hotel is excellent.

Not a bad choice We enjoyed the spaciousness of the room compared to our earlier stay in a midtown Manhattan hotel, but it was more of a hike into town to do our sightseeing. The bus just outside the door was a plus, however. Our only downside was a couple of the front desk staff members...curt, almost rude, and outright mistaken on a few points! Traveler's tip Be careful how you get there from LaGuardia...our transportation cost over eighty dollars and was with a driver who was NOT familiar with the area at all!

Unique for me The hotel room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a problem with the toilet however, brought it to the attention of the staff. Dont know if they took care of it or not because I was only there for one night, but they said they would. Great place to stay for a great deal. Traveler's tip on local attractions NJ transit bus stops across the street, bus takes you to NYC(Port Authority). It’s about $3.15 one way and runs frequently.

Great Value-no pool This hotel was recommended by a friend for our NYC trip. I would definitely do the same. The lobby is very trendy and clean. A easy meeting spot for separate parties. Expedia advertised that there was a pool. There is no pool at this hotel. We were a little bummed but not for long. This hotel is gorgeous without being stuffy at all. The shuttle bus that takes you to the Port Authority stops right behind the hotel, although this hotel does not offer the tickets for purchase. You would need to purchase them at the hotel behind this one in right across the street. (Not a big deal at all) This hotel is one of the first stops on the way back from NYC but don’t forget to push the button to stop (like we did). If you can try not to stay in a room near the elevators. You’ll be hearing it run non stop as early as 6 am. Walls are paper thin. We heard the people above us or below us arguing one night, very clearly. Not much other noise though. Get to the breakfast early or you’ll be out of luck. One day we didn’t make it down until 8:45 and only had a selection of a few cereals. The previous mornings was a great spread with bagels, fresh fruit, toast, yogurt, juices and cereal Staff is friendly. Hotel is clean. Bed is -sooooo- comfortable. The best deal we’ve gotten in a long time. I’d go back there. To make life easier, figure out how many trips you will be making from the hotel to NYC and back and buy your tickets all at once. It saves a ton of time during your rushed mornings.
