Americana Inn Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Sharing bathrooms wasn't an issue. There are four rooms for each bathroom. Rooms are very small with no extras. Good place to stay if your in NY by yourself and don't plan on spending much time in your room.

I chose this hotel because I was looking for value for money and a place with good reviews. I wasn't disappointed! My boyfriend and I stayed at the Americana inn from the 3rd - 9th of January this year and thought the hotel was great.

This hotel was great for the money. It was in a great location and the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were small, but very clean as was the bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel three or four times in the last five years. Its a great location and it is very clean. Some of the rooms are a little small but they are well organized. You have to share the bathrooms but usually they are available without a weight and they are usually very clean. They do have sinks in the rooms so you can always use the sink. The price is remarkable for New York City. I highly recommend this hotel.

Three nights for UNDER $500 in NYC during New Year's. Unbeatable.

Service was good, and the hotel is situated in the central part of Manhattan with every possible site in walking distance. You have to take the standard in consideration, but everything under $100 i NYC, wich is not a rotch-motel is great value. Would`nt mind staying there again.

Would stay here again Save money on your hotel, and you get a very good location only a few minutes walk from the main shopping areas.

I stayed at Americana Inn for four (or was it five?) nights and it was perfect for me. The room was the size of a closet, but I would only sleep there so it?s no big deal.

Other reviews point out - not incorrectly - that: the bathrooms aren't vented; the rooms are small; and that there's street noise.

The rooms are very small, but it's a very nice place to stay. Each room has cable TV, phone, and an A/C unit. The hotel is very inexpensive compared to other hotels in the city. However, you do have to share bathrooms with the guests, but the bathrooms are also clean. The hotel is not far from 34th and Broadway, Herald Square, and 42nd St. It's in a really great location. In order to get into the hotel, you must be buzzed in. The hotel has security cameras, so they really make you feel safe.
