Affinia Dumont Hotel - New York

My wife and two daughters stayed at this hotel for two nights late 2005. It was an excellent hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were more than we expected for the price. I highly recommend this hotel. It is located about two blocks away from the empire state building. The only bad experience I had the entire stay was not with the Affinia Hotel, but with the restaurant adjacent to the hotel (barking dog). I suggest that you avoid this place. The employees were helpful, but the owner ruined our dinner when he insulted me and my family when the restaurant manager showed him what I found in my daughter?s food. Do not let the decor and quiet setting fool you.

I stayed here the night before I got surgery at NYU, it was nice hotel with great service. It has a great view of the city on the higher floors. I would recommend.

I stayed here on an extended visit with a large group (approx. 50) and the service and attitude of the staff was always warm, inviting and efficient. From housekeeping to doormen, everyone was very proffessional.

This hotel had a great location. The staff was extremley helpful and the rooms were very clean. The room we stayed in had a full supplied kitchen. The beds were very comfortable, you were able to choose from a menu of special pillows. (awesome) The spa and fitness center was great and everyone was friendly. Plus I looked at prices on NYC hotel's for a month and this was the best value. I would most deff go back.

I stayed on the top floor (37), and was very impressed. The views were incredible, and the hotel tremendously comfortable. Very easy to get to the 33rd street subway (train no. 6), great view of the Chrysler building - good hotel generally.

I really enjoyed my stay in NY and i can't wait to go again!! It's really exspensive in NY but this hotel was really good value for money!! Going back next year!!

Travel overseas a lot for work and rarely do I come across sincere and genuinely helpful staff. They had character particularly young man at the front desk from Trinidad (Mr Lee). Exceptional and legendary service! Not only was the hotel understated and upmarket but also very convenient for appointments etc.

I loved my stay at the Affinia.It was amazing! The staff were soooo friendly and the amount of things they offered were neverending. The view is outstanding . The room i s fperfectly fit for a stay in the city. I had to stay at the Affinia the day before a very important audition , and i was very nervous. But even through my nervousness the Affinia seemed to calm me down. I even made the audition! The location is great, right down the block you have a shoe store, american eagle, starbucks(as always) , verrry cute dog themed restaurant and soo much more ! The Affinia Dumont is my favorite hotel ever!(did i mention HOW comfy the bed were?)

This was the best hotel experience in NYC. The rooms are very spacious and we had a view of the east river. The hotel is spotless and the front desk staff is so helpful and friendly. The subway is 1 block away and there are several nice restaurants close by. I will never stay anywhere else.

Everything. The location. The view from our window, (it was partially of the water). The service was amazing. Starbucks next door basically! The bed was comfortable-- had great sleep there. The stores I liked were RIGHT there. It was quiet as well. Romantic . And I will come back again, for sure!
