The hotel needs a serious make over.

There was no air conditioning and we slept in a puddle of our own sweat during the entire five night stay. I've stayed at multiple 2-star hotels before and this was not a two star, it wasn't even a 1-star. I would have rather stayed at Motel 6. There were fights going outside all night (between locals, it had nothing to do with spring break traffic), and the "hotel's" pool is actually open to the public and right off the road, not even gated - there are tons of random people in there with broken bottles, trash etc lying around. The vending machines and ice machines were all empty/not functioning, and don't even think about going to a local convenience store for water - you will easily pay $4 for a small bottle. For the price we paid for the hotel, I would have rather slept in the car. At least it would have been clean, cool, and safe.

Bad customer service I had the worst experience that i’ve ever had at a hotel. It started out nice. I checked in around 5:30 and the hotel staff on duty was extremely friendly. Once I got to my room. It wasn’t very clean. The air was muggy as if it was an old smoking room. I figured since I wasnt going to be in the room much that it should be okay. Then I looked in the shower it was stained and the faucet was dripping. To end out the night, I walked into the bathroom and the biggest cockroach that i’ve ever seen was sitting on the sink. It was about 5 inches long and 3 inches wide. When I called front desk and asked to move to a different room because I was petrified of bugs, he gave me an attitude, told me he was going to switch it to the room down the hall, and then hung up the phone. I completely appalleed with his behavior, I just could not believe that he was that rude. I wanted to just check out immediately but then it was already 1 am. When I got to the second room. It was a slightly cleaner but still had the same stench as the last one. I stayed on the phone for hours untill I fell asleep. I would not recommend that hotel to anyone. The staff that originial welcomed me were hospitalable, as for the night staff... thats a different story. The hotel really needs to be renovated and have some pest control.

The hotel is really close to beach. If you will go to beach a lot, it is not bad choice. Some staffs in this hotel are not friendly. We have a bad experience at this hotel. In the end, we do not like to talk with them a little bit. It seems that they are still in sleep.

It was ok While i was very unimpressed with the staff, most of whom were rude and very unhelpful the location was good. Only a few blocks from both Lincoln Avenue Shopping and Collins shopping. While i woudl not recommend it for a luxry stay, it worked just fine for a place to sleep. Far enough away from the noise of Ocean Drive and close enough to all the action that you didn’t need to take a cab every where. I would more than likely stay there again, since all i need when in South Beach is a place to sleep and shower.

Old Art Deco style hotel fit in great with the area. This hotel has great potential with a little updating. Location is convenient to the beach and night life.

Horrible Worst place ever stayed in my life. Ceiling falling through. Stains on every piece of linen in the room, back exit tours to building left open and broken, and the area doesn’t feel secure at all. The pool is right in front of the building with a busy street right in front. No privacy whatsoever. Never again Traveler's tip Make this a last resort and I mean a LAST resort.

It as 2.5 star. I would describe it as 0.025 star. We found 2 dead mosquitoes between the sheets. Paint in the room was chipping everywhere. The room was on the ground level, and the windows had no locks on it. The towels had permanent stains on them. There was no dresser in the room. We were told we'd get one king size or 2 full size beds. We got one twin size bed. There was a safe in the closet that didn't work. When I called for maintenance to fix it, they said they were coming, and I waited one hour. Then I called again and they said coming, on the way. Still nothing for another 2 hours. After waiting 5 hours, I told them I am leaving, send later. They never sent anyone. Then they actually charged me for use of the same at checkout, for 2 days. I had to fight with them. It's beyond bad. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, not even my enemies.
