Best buy for Coral Gables, FL Great places to eat are within easy walking distance from this hotel (walk to Coral Way)

Very close to airport but too far from south beach were the nighlife is alot better. Food in the hotel is excellent and the staff are sound.

Pity... Conveniently located just off Calle Ocho on the northern end of Coral Gables, the rooms are spacious and there’s plenty free parking. Having booked a non-smoking room, it turns out the room I got reeked of cold smoke. Most unpleasant. As the hotel was full up with Carnival Cruise’s crew members, another room was not available. That kinda spoilt it.

It really is that bad! I read some negative reviews of this hotel on Expedia, but thought, "how bad can it be?" Really bad! Terrible! A nightmare! I waited at the airport nearly two hours for the complimentary shuttle, despite the desk staff telling me repeatedly on the phone that it would arrive in "just a few moments." I could have (and would have) taken a cab had a known I would wait so long. I then complained to the manager, who was extremely rude and unapologetic. He did finally agree to offer me free dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant, which were then both charged to my credit card and now I have to dispute the charges. The desk staff is not helpful and very rude. The room was very run down and dirty. Paint peeling from the walls, old carpet and bedspread, hair (the worst kind!) all over the bathroom. Noisy street made for restless sleep. The walls are paper thin and I was disturbed by the cruise-ship staff that is housed there getting up en masse at 4am. This place is a real dump. Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Don’t stay at the Chateaubleau!

Stayed before, but now is quite rundown I was told it was no longer a Best Western hotel,I last stayed there in July this year,but it has changed for the worse, I was also told it had a contract with a cruise company for its crew to stay there Try some other hotel!

The Worst Western Hotel We do try to save money on hotels, as we feel this is the part of the trip where we spend the least time. Trust me, this time it wasn't worth it. By the way, Miami was delightful - we can't wait to take another long weekend. Visit the Fairchild Gardens, before the Chihuly exhibit leaves sometime in May. Also the Wolfsonian Institute and Vizcaya. Great places all.
