More than what I expected for the money Service was great. Hotel was right on the strip...Great food although it was a little expensive. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a great hotel on the beach!

It was a great place to stay. The traffic was just enough to give you the entire south beach feeling, without discouraging you from hanging outside. The porch was a great hangout spot, with an excellent view.

The hotel was nice and the employees were very helpful and friendly. Room was very minimal I do not think it would be good for family travelers but for a couple of friends or as a romantic spot nice choice for the money!

Old but cool. The Avalon is right in the middle of the South Beach "scene", and if that’s what you’re there for, it’s perfect. The hotel is old, but taken care of pretty well, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is awesome for dinner, and the continental breakfast in the morning is above average. Being in the middle of the "scene", it is also pretty loud; don’t go there expecting peace and quiet. Plus the garbage trucks service the back alley every morning early, so request a room towards the front of the hotel if you plan on sleeping in. Traveler's tip on dining The News Cafe, right down the street, has great food, local flavor, and a great view of the constant parade of beautiful people.

They lied. They told me I had a partial ocean view room when I called and it wasn't. They also told me the boardwalk was 6 blocks away and it was 10. The maids were rude.

It was a delight We were very satisfied and would definitely return there. The location is very convenient for eveything. The Hotel Restaurant food was fabulous.
