Great, reasonably priced hotel, closes to Stanley Park. The hotel was above average and the room had a great little balcony with a view of the Beach. Just a short walk to Stanley Park, which is awesome and about a 15 minute walk to the downtown nightlife, shopping, and restaurants. Just make sure you aren't homophobic, cause the hotel is down the street from the "gay area" of Vancouver! Not a big deal, my girl and I were simply amused.

I would give this hotel about 2 1/2 stars. The front desk staff were excellent but the bathroom was tiny and the room was only adequate. I did not like hearing busses and people going by all night and early morning. I probably would not stay at this hotel again.

I found the hotel overpriced for the shape it's in. Small, old bathrooms - the door wouldn't shut, the fan didn't work. The staff was friendly though. Location is good. For the price, we would not stay there again - I would expect it to be more updated for what they charge.

All Review Photos Best Western Sands by the Sea, located on the west end, has a modest lobby. Upon checking in, ask for your Wifi access code for your laptop, and if you don't have a Wifi access card, the hotel will loan one to you during your stay....

Good location in the upper West end of down town Vancouver near to Stanley Park . Lots of good eateries close by, from the very popular "walk in off the street" cafe' type places to up market a'la carte . Good bus service from the front door of the hotel to most areas. About a 30 minute drive from Vancouver International ( $25 by taxi ) Staff very helpful with day tour bookings. Would definately stay there again

I loved this place because I had the opportunity to shoot a shortfilm here. The owner cares a lot about the customers and he was more than happy to treat my crew us as future customers. The location is just by the sea! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The people working there are also very nice and are willing to help you at any moment. Same is with the Restaurant of the hotel. Everybody who comes to this place won't be dissapointed. I give this place 5 stars since it was difficult for me to find a place with this kind of service.
