Our bottom line is that we would definitely stay at The Wigmore Hotel again and we would recommend it. Reception staff, particularly Mandy, are very helpful and kind. The Wigmore is an old house near Marble Arch with 4 floors and no lift, so if you are booking and can't handle the stairs, ask for a room closer to the ground floor. Breakfast was held downstairs in the light and airy breakfast room. Breakfast was perfectly OK - cereals, fruit juice, tea, coffee, bacon, eggs, tomoatoes, baked beans and toast with spreads. Lots of people from various countries staying there and all seemed to like it. Rooms were smallish but very clean and more than adequate for our needs - good value for money. Location is a couple of blocks from Oxford Street shops. Sept 2008, Australia

+ A bit older, but nice, clean, and comfortable. Good value for money, given it's central-London location. Wi-fi network. Obliging staff. - Breakfast - I just hate artifical eggs. I will have my breakfast outside next time.

The breakfast is good, the problem is first time you come you have to arrive before 22:00, after that they go to sleep. After you check in you get the key to the front door. The location is good - close to Oxford street.

despite the quality of the room, when I arrived at the hotel, they told me that I hadn't a room because they were fully booked and probably the server didn't work well when I booked the room. this is the kind of thing that an internet user doesn't want to happen!!

+ There was no hair dryer in the room, but a member of staff provided one on request and took it up to the room to save me an extra trip upstairs. The staff were very helpful with advice regarding picking up a taxi. - I found magazines under the bed which

Reception staff were polite and courteous.Room was comfortable and facilities functional/adequate.Noted that sink had crack in it.Heating ok.Shower/water temperature ok. Did not have opportunity to check dining area as had to leave before breakfast for appointment. General impression was that hotel would benefit from from some updating.Otherwise no serious complaints.
