First room offered possibly breached health & safety rules, window barred and locked, basement room, no.56, looking out to a builder's yard, debris and dust on windowsill. Had to protest twice before allocated another room after being told another wasn't available. Very basic accommodation, breakfast not continental although described as such, just toast, cereal, juice and tea/coffee. Paying for location not quality of hotel. Won't stay again will choose reliable chain.

Bathroom was refurbished recently (maybe 1-2 years ago) but no hand/face towels available. Bath towels were standard cheap and old. Room was extremely small and the beds were light, squicky and not too comfy. Also the duvet ie old woollen cloth was disgustingly worn out. The bed side table was almost in pieces. Would not visit again unless it was the only option.

Rooms are really very small and breakfast poor (also, tends to be overcrowded). Price is fine (got a double for 72€) and location pretty good. Should have chosen twin because double bed was small. Our hot water was less than warm (again due to overcrowd

Negative points : - underground location of our room and the breakfast-room - carpet and towels really need to be renewed - beds are not comfortable - breakfast is a very minimum Positive points : - location: nearby Kensington/Hyde Park, 2 underground stations and a lot of shops and restaurants - luggage room (small, not very clean)

+ Pleasant breakfast room - breakfast basic but efficient - Window was open 1 foot at the bottom to alleviate this but it would be cold in winter
