+ The staff were very helpful and pleasant it was very close to earls court tube - I think the rooms could have done with a freshen up of paint other than that the room was fine and suited our needs it was very basic but we knew that when we booked

Good value Spartan rooms with comfortable beds but no comfy chairs. You want to get out. Mini kitchenette very helpful saving money on breakfast and even lunch if you’re in. Nice neighborhood 5 minutes from major tube station, Earl’s Court. Bathrooms are small but newly renovated. Altogether very quiet and friendly. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Giant sized Telco supermarket is just a 5 minute walk. Perfect for the budget conscious, or those who suddenly become so after realizing that everything costs twice what it does in the U.S. owing to the rate of exchange at this time.

+ The location is very convenient for transport by tube. the price is reasonable. - The web site said the rate was for bed and english breakfast. on arrival there was a notice stuck on the wall at reception stating there was no food available in the hotel. there is also a notice stating that to use a credit card there was a 5% extra charge on the rate. i had to go and get cash to avoid this. none of this is clear on the web site. the bathroom door is alsmost non existent in the room i occupied.( no 15 ) internet was not available as the connection was "down ". by adding a large structure into the room to serve as a wardrobe and facility for food preparation fridge etc there is no space left to move in the room.

Nice Property, good location, excellent value for the money! Having spent the last two months in the UK midlands I was really looking forward to a 4 day weekend in London. I was a bit apprehensive do to the horror stories I had been told and read about London hotel rooms. That they were either posh and way overpriced or dingy and way too small. I was pleasently surprised when I opened the door to the single room I had booked at York House. It was well kept, clean and the bathroom had been recently updated with ceramic tile and a new shower. The ceilings were over 12 feet high which made the space seem quite large and not cramped at all. The guest staff were all friendly and helpful with all my requests and assitance with directions. The hotel is close to Earls Court expo center and only about 2 blocks from the Earls Court tube station which made it easy to get around London. If you are looking to stay in London and spend most of your cash on shows, sights and great food, but would like to conserve some on your room, but still have a clean , safe, quiet, easy access location I believe The York House will suit you very well. Cheers mates! Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Buy the London Oyster card if you want to travel throughout the city. It is good for both the tube and buses, and makes getting around a breeze. Also most Londoners are quite friendly and helpful with directions and advice. Avoid the tube at afternoon rush hour on a hot day, especially if you dont like crowds or strange smells.
