A Great Place to Stay Read or relax by the lovely fire and the Honesty Bar at some point during your stay. During the Holidays the decorations are reminiscent of a period in London long forgotten.

Would definately definately go back The Rookery was very easy to find and in a nice location, a short walk to the station where you could be in the middle of London in 10mins. The staff were all welcoming and the hotel was very homely. rooms were lovely and had all the basics with a few luxuries thrown in. felt romantic and relaxing. Would definately come back.

Victorian Romantic Hotel in North Central London I had read previous opinions ranging from disappointment to a romantic getaway. My fiancee and I were here last month (NOV 07) and thouroughly enjoyed our time. The rooms were beautifully decorated and restored to the Victorian Period, which includes a claw-foot tub and pull chain toilet in the bathroom. All pristinely clean and newly remodeled. Even the copper pipes looked brand new! The bed was comfortable and there was not any outside noise that we noticed in our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even getting us a menu and take-away order one evening that we couldn’t get a table in town ANYWHERE! The common areas were beautiful with fireplaces and it actually had quite a lot of business folks there using their victorian meeting room. The place to stay in that part of London! Romantic and decently priced, considering the exchange rate against the dollar (2:1)! Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay They serve breakfast to your door, but is not hot and a very limited selection. You can only order one of each and is rather expensive in that regards...best to get something on the go elsewhere. The hotel is 1 block from the Farrington Metro station and a just one stop or short taxi from King’s Crossing Train Station. The area is full of PUBS and drinkers and a little dirty - but the hotel is not. The METRO is VERY expensive in London - FYI, walk and use your day tickets to their fullest!

Perfect 18th-century gem in a class of its own The Rookery is one of London's best boutique hotels. You should stay here for the décor alone. The rooms are very well-appointed and offer lots of space compared to other hotels. The bathrooms are incredible! I know I'm gushing, but it's true. I've stayed in at least 20 hotels in London, and the Rookery is in my top three.

I want to live in this hotel! This is one of the most wonderful hotels I've stayed in in London. It's a luxury hotel that's completely comfortable with its luxury. It's the perfect place for a getaway as it's not in a typically touristy area - although everything is really easily accessible. It has amazing decor, wonderful, discrete service and a real sense of history. The room was really comfortable (nice toiletries, soft towells, bedding and robes and a really nicely stocked, fairly priced minibar) and, despite being in a really bustley part of London, it was very peaceful. The breakfast, although at first glance a little limited, is amazing - the pastries (literally fresh-baked) were the best I've ever had.

Noisy! Street noise from the local bars is loud, insufficient soundproofed windows - not a good nights sleep
