- We booked a double room and was given a very tiny twin bed room and we were not informed of this at check in. also the room itself while it was clean was quite shbby in appearance and the lack of air in the room made it nearly impossible for us to get a nights sleep.

Mind you, this isn't grumbling or anything -- maybe if I had researched this a bit more (like the closest Tube stop is at Paddington, but you have to make sure you have to take the above-ground exit to Praed Street, otherwise you're, um, you know what I mean). It's an okay enough place to stay one night if you know you're off elsewhere the next day. Oh well...lesson learned. You do get what you pay for (at it wasn't even all that inexpensive for the quality!).

The location made this hotel ok because there were grocery stores, shops, and transportation nearby. But, the room had a weird smell, furniture from the '50's, and a really unusable shower. It was disappointing.

The lobby was air conditioned, but not the rooms. Hotel staff were unable to provide directions on how to find the hotel by phone, were often impolite or incompetent, and refused to open the windows of my room during London's worst July heat wave ever. The room was swelteringly hot, to the point where I couldn't sleep. Fans provided were inadequate, and I was miserable in the room. Wifi internet access was expensive and unreliable. I was able to find free wifi access while sitting in the park around the corner. Breakfast was overpriced, but there is little correlation between price and quality in the UK in general. Overall, the location near Paddington Station was convenient.
