Loved it! The staff were lovely. The receptionist upgraded us to a Bloomsbury room, which was small (as most London hotel rooms seem to be) but beautifully decorated and furnished. It felt very luxurious because of the fabrics and design of decor. This was in the perfect location for us - partway between Euston Station & West End, so could walk everywhere (which beats tube or taxis in London!) Came back in the evening to find the turn-down service had been and also left a platter of fruit, box of fudge and slippers. A small niggle is that there is only one vegetarian main course on the 3 evening-meal menus they offered us. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there are so many great breakfast spots nearby. Wish we'd stayed longer, and we will go back.

Staff good, breakfast good, room too small (booked on special offer), clean and tidy, after checkout was able to leave luggage whilst sightseeing.

Boutique at it’s best The Montague On The Garden hotel across from the British Museum was one the nicest hotels I have had the privilege to stay in quite a while. It was quaint, a touch of Old England yet modern with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. I really appreciated the attention to detail in not only the public rooms but our personal room as well. Also the concierge gave us a great recommendation for fish and chips...the best I have eaten. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in London for a short or extended stay. I only wish I had more time there. Make sure your bank ATM card works in getting dollars to sterling. My card worked in Paris but for some strange reason not in England. It was quite a problem. I would check with your financial institution prior to travel.

We enjoyed a great nights sleep despite being in the heart of London. The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay which consisted of museum and shopping trips. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. What more can I say, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Thankyou!

Good stay!! Very good couple of nights at Montague on the Gardens. I asked for a quiet room and that is what we got; overlooking the garden area. The staff were very attentive, polite and helpful. Good breakfast in a busy breakfast room. Will definitely be back and can recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Very close to Tube station, and adjacent to lovely grassed square with cafe and fountain. Nice quiet location, good for visiting main tourist attractions via Tube.

Attractive place, clean, nice bathroom and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint is all the rooms are too small. I asked to see several after my shock at the size of mine and they are all the same. I choose not to upgrade to a suite due to the price. Perhaps I am used to the large size of American hotel rooms. Still, since I was rarely in the room, it did not really matter after all. The price and the location of this hotel cannot be beat. I would stay there again.
