I did not expect luxury, but I did expect good service and a clean room from a four star hotel. The hotel was in grave need of refurbishment. I found it very disappointing and won't use Thistle again.

Don’t expect to much, would stay there again. Hotel is a little pricey, however, what it lacks in amenities it makes up for in location. Great place to stay at if your in London for a short period of time. Be sure to request a double bed and check in early to get one, they don’t have too many rooms with them. Hot shower with plenty of water pressure was a major plus. Probably the best I’ve had in Europe. Traveler's tip on local attractions Conveniently located close to the British Museum and a short walk to the Theatre district and Convent Garden shopping. From the Holborn and Tottenham Court Road tube stops you can get anywhere in the city.

Dreadful experience, dreadful hotel--astonishing this is part of a chain and allowed to continue in this fashion, let alone at this price relative to the facilities. Shabby, dirty, and depressing would have been an upgrade.

Overall, the staff was indifferent, and cold. There didn't seem to be any regret for the inconveniences we faced. I can't believe that this was a major chain. I wonder if all Thistles are this bad.

If you're looking for comfortable, reasonably priced accommodations in a great location, the Thistle Bloomsbury would probably be a good bet.

poor bedding lumpy pillows, lumpy beding cover. The pillows where hard as rocks, and the comfoter felt like a weight was on. Wall had paper peeling. Traveler's tip on shopping Choose another hotel. Too expensive for the servce

This hotel was a good value for the price paid, and we were very pleased with our stay.
