I was delighted with my room. It was spacious & very clean. The girl at the reception was charming & welcoming. Unfortunately there was an incident in my room! Breakfast wasn't very special. Toast hardly saw the toaster & the scrambled eggs had a funny taste.

A very enjoyable stay. Lots of eating options nearby and Paddington underground only about 5 minutes walk away. Would definitely stay there again.

+It had a very good bed (Normaly beds are to short for me), and to my surprice it was verry quiete for an hotel in the middle of the city. -As with all hotels in london in was to expensive for what you get, but I guess it was within reason for an hotel that close to a major station.

Overall the Darlington is a very nice hotel and a good value for the money. The rooms are very simple and small but extremely clean. The location is very convenient, both to Paddington station and to downtown London. The breakfast was excellent.

I really investigated the hotel before I booked- and was still extra pleased. Close to HEathrow Express, Hyde Park, it was quite, clean and an excellent value considering how expensive London is.

The hotel is a good value for your money. Close to public transportation (train, metro and bus), friendly service and comfortable room (except for the mattress that needs upgrade).

I've stayed in many hotels across London and always my main complaint is you don't tend to get much but still pay a high price compared with other cities. However I booked this hotel based on the reviews and I wasn't disappointed, as I feel it represents good value for money. The hotel is excellently located in West London, easy to find and is also easy to get to from both Paddington station and the underground (it's an accurate description of it being a 5 minute walk) as well as being close to serveral good bus routes. This particular location also has a good number of amenities in the area, so plenty of places to eat, mini-markets, which are all handy if you arrive late at night (which I did). Staff I found very efficient and really friendly too, which is not only nice, but also reassuring. The hotel and room itself I found to be excellent, particularly as the whole hotel has recently been rennovated. My room was bright, neutrally decorated and overall very pleasant. I also found the room to be very clean, which again, is not always the case with hotel rooms in London that are in this price bracket. My only complaint is that my single room was a tad on the small side, although good use of space had been made, which actually made it's size quite endearing :-) I was also a bit disappointed that there was no bath even the though the description lists one. Apparently though, some rooms do have one but you would need to specify this as a special request. My summary is that this is an excellent value hotel (although not luxury) but very clean, brilliantly positioned for West London and as I'm a single female traveller, liked that it's in a safe location. I'll certainly stay here again when in this area and I'll also be recommending it to others :-)
