Somerset Hotel London

Somerset Hotel London

6 Dorset Square - NW16QA London

Overall a clean and well presented property with an excellent location. (0306 RP-L) A traditional London town house with wrought iron railings and flower baskets adorning the entrance. Located in a quiet square just a couple of minutes walk from Baker Street underground station (Circle, Bakerloo, Metropolitan & Hammersmith and City Lines). Ideally located for London Zoo, Madame Tussauds and the Planetarium which are next to the station and with easy access to Oxford Street (just 2 stops on the Bakerloo Line) and many other attractions.

Basic, and cheap - served purpose for one night stay after nearby evening event. Staff were welcoming but no-one on reception when we left so was unable to give them these comments at the time. Glad I wasn't a tourist - I would not recommend it for any longer stay. Continental breakfast was (very cheap) cereals and juice plus toast, with hot drinks machine supplying ordinary coffee. One room was a curtain short and there were problems with the water supply. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable and clean. Having used [website] to book rooms in various places across Europe, this was the most expensive and the least impressive of the lot.

Good location. But reception was unattended the whole time. The room and the bed were quite comfortable but the bathroom wasnt kind of dirty and old.

You should know there is no lift, which makes luggage difficult. The room was large in size for London. The bath room, as is often the case in London is VERY small and had a somewhat dangerous bath that was elevated and slippery and my husband took a b

The room was very clean and it was a nice bed. The pillows were awfull though. I thought the service was very good, very flexible so we didn't have to wait at all.

Found it a bit hard to find as it isn't actually on 'the square'. It wasn't open when I arrived - mid morning after a 24 hour flight from Australia. But personel friendly and accomodating. Unable to organise breakfast - we had to leave for an early tr
