Great location off Piccadilly Circus and "Tube" station. Helpful staff and umbrellas for the sudden rain squall. Within walking distance of lots of sights and accommodating of special requests.

Perfect location makes up for the ultra-modern, austere exterior and interior. Incredible for the price, with good comfort levels, friendly service and an exceptional (although very pricey) bar. The final bill included room charges that had been prepaid which were ultimately reversed, although it took a few calls to London to rectify. Would stay here again.

The hotel - Sofitel St. James - was 10 stars! Great attentive staff! Unfortunately I spent the entire trip confined to my room with pneumonia! The staff waited on me hand & foot and let me know up front that they would check on me every 4 hours from 9 AM to 8 PM! They kept my room stocked with free fruits and bottled water and treats! A maid even brought me homemade chicken soup! I had pre- ordered artsy flower arrangements and they were stunning- all 5 of them! The decor from the lobby to the sitting rooms and bar were incredibly high end in a mix of colorful Brit fashion mixed with ultra chic Modern. The room service: par excellence! The location to great eats and shops near Piccadilly Circus was excellent at only 2 blocks away! This is where "home" will be in London for me! -Matt Stevens, Dallas TX.

Best In London GREAT hotel! Absolutely perfect location. Nestled between Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, you can’t get much better than that. Near great attractions and shopping. The Superior room was quite spacious and immaculate. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, we were extremely satisfied.

I can't say enough about the Sofitel St. James. The hotel was absolutely charming and the rooms were wonderful. I've stayed all over the world and in some of the finest hotels therein and I believe the Sofitel St. James is among the most pleasant venues in which I've had the pleasure to stay. Warm and friendly staff, well-appointed rooms and a mix between classical and modern design have made this hotel one for my record book.

The room we stayed in was very comfortable - the bed was great, nice toiletries, etc, but it was a little dark. A small inconvenience given the rest of the hotel. The location was perfect - within walking distance of everything. The food was very good and the cocktails were out of this world.
