Very impressed by the Services, particularly the Front Desk and Concierge. The hotel is conveniently located near the Glocester Road Tube station. The service starting from the Front Dest is outstanding. The breakfast is very good. Traveler's tip for business travelers Good value fro money.

This is a beautiful hotel which is badly let down by it's poorly trained and unhelpful staff. Add to that a very shoddy booking system. The staff are very unhelpful, and incapable of helping. Their advice was "call back tomorrow", to which I suggested that maybe Rydges should call be back tomorrow. They did. They agreed a refund, and I requested an e-mailed confirmation. Their explanation was that due to an IT failure, they accidentally charged me, as they did not get the cancellation from their Head Office. This was about 9 hours ago. I am still waiting for my e-mail. I rang the hotel again - same story - the staff cannot help. The manager is away, I need to call back later. Terrible service.

I have stayed at this hotel twice now and have enjoyed my stay both times. My only criticism is the lack of choice in the restaurant.

After having stayed at other "bargain hotels" in the Kensington/South Kensington area, Rydges Kensington Plaza was a visit to heaven. For the same price within 50p as The Stuart right around the corner, Rydges felt like pure luxury. The rooms were very comfortable and attractive. The bath was contemporary and very clean with a towel heater that kept the room comfortably warm as well. The common areas were attractive, comfortably stylish and were even better than the promotional photos on their website. The pub is tiny by any standards but quite plesant and usually occupied by jolly Aussies, very friendly to strangers (even those Americans who mistook the Austrailian flag for that of New Zealand). The restaurant was not fancy but solid. Buffet breakfast is included with an small additional charge for the English breakfast of eggs, beans, sausage and delicious cooked tomatoes. Dinner was very tastey and no compromise on nights in. The only problem we had was with internet access which was sketchy for us WiFi users though we worked around it. But the BEST FEATURE of Rydges Kensington Plaza was the staff. What warm helpful people! We got the kind of service one expects from hotels charging many times more. From the front desk to cleaning staff, everyone made you feel like a valued regular customer. I have found my home for any visits I make to London!!

Excellently placed for west of London attractions and travel I found the hotel's location on Gloucester Road was excellent for a wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants etc as well as tube and bus stops (one of the open top bus tours stops right outside). It is a very fast connection by tube on the Piccadilly line from Heathrow. The local architecture is lovely. It is a brisk 15 min walk to Kensington Palace and gardens. It is also ideal for a lovely Sunday Brunch with music around the corner at the Albert Hall.
