Wonderful Value in Wonderful Location I was extremely satisfied with my experience at the Royal Court Apartments. The hotel staff was courteous and available 24 hours a day. The hotel was in a very convenient location between 2 underground stations on different lines, so it was pretty easy to get anywhere in the city. We actually stayed in 2 different rooms during our trip (we went to ireland for a few days in the middle of the trip) both rooms were very nice. The furniture was a little rickety, and the carpets had a few stains, but for the money, I felt like it was a great deal for the room. The rooms had high ceilings that were a pleasant surprise. We stayed in the larger one bedroom apartment and the smaller one bedroom apartment and each were more than big enough for 2 people, and each had an extra rolling bed in the room without us having to ask for one. I would highly recommend the Royal Court Apartments to anyone planning a trip to London on a budget. I hope we’ll be able to stay there again one day. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks I would advise anyone planning to use public transportation to get an "Oyster Card." It allows you unlimited travel and will always charge you the cheapest possible rate. I would also advise all travelers to London to invest in a "London Pass." It offers discounted or free rates to many of the most popular attractions. If you’re planning to do a lot of the standard tourist activities, it should pay for itself. Also I’d recommend a bus tour (we took the BIG BUS COMPANY and were very happy).

Good value and good location We are happy with the hotel. Location is excellent and very close to Paddington. As uausal, the hotel is not modern (typical London)but gives you a good clean room.

This is going to be our favourite place, depending of course if the prices are favourable. My daughter and I were her to shop and we were very satisfied with our studioapartment. Of course it was worn down, but apart from that, everthing else was to our satisfaction. Cleaning was fine, and clean towels every day. Staff was also helpfull and polite. Location was also excellent with only 5 minutes walk to Lancaster Gate tubestation. Will absolutely prefer to stay here again.

great place Great location and price close to Paddington Station and many services staff is very friendly and helpful hope to return to London and stay there again Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks it is often a better deal to use ATM at foreign bank rather than at a currency exchange place, check fees with your bank (should be a small percentage fee rather than commission and other fees currence exchange places will charge you)

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Court for 8 nights. We were looking for an inexpensive and convenient hotel to stay at in London for our honeymoon. The first 2 nights we had a small cramped room on the 2nd floor, but with full amenities as promised. We checked out to go to Paris and returned 3 days later and received a room on the ground floor. It had 2 twin beds and when I returned to the desk stating that I asked for a double bed, they quickly gave us another room with one bed. This one was easily 3 times the size as the room we had to begin with. The rooms were alway clean and you never heard any of the other guests, unless they were coming down the stairs with luggage and even though we seemed to be on a busy street, we barely heard any street noise. The staff were all very helpful and nice. We were literally 3 blocks away from the Paddington Underground station and less than that from restaurants, shops, and money exchange. We couldn't have asked for a more convenient location. We would stay at the Royal Court again if we have another chance to stay in London.

Humble - Spacious - Old We stayed for 5 nights at this old hotel. It’s few minutes from Hyde Park and right in between two tube stations; Lancaster Gate and Paddington. We got a big room with a separate setting area, two windows that you can open and a full functional kitchen, but with a squeaky floor anywhere you step. Sheets were clean but the bed was not comfortable. It’s very hard to find such a deal in London especially with a free internet in the lobby. Traveler's tip on dining Make sure that you try the Shawarma stand at the corner of Carven Rd. towards Paddington station.

Reasonable for the price All central London hotels cost twice what is reasonable; this one is a good value if you want a place to live for a few days. The hotel and furniture are old and decrepit, but serviceable. There is a separate bedroom (typically two comfortable single beds head-to-toe) so one person can sleep while the other stays up late. There is a very small bathroom and tiny shower into which an adult male can barely fit, so taking a shower takes extra time but is doable. The kitchenette is basic, and has everything you need but a heat oven. It’s a ten minute walk past Paddington Station to a Tesco where you can buy food (much cheaper than restaurants). Our room in back was very quiet. There is no ventilation except what you get by keeping the windows open, so a hot summer night could be a problem. There is broadband wireless Internet in the lobby only.

We were informed by venere that the accomodation had disabled access,my husband is in a wheelchair I phoned 4 wks in advance and the apartment staff confirmed this and I rang the day of travel and told that we would be allocated the most suitable room. There are 3 steps to the front door which were slippery due to the rain, there was no one to help us, there were 2 heavy doors to go through to the lounge, and there was a VERY narrow ramp to the bedrooms which was too narrow to take the wheelchair and my husband again had to get out,and I had to fold the wheelchair, there was no space at the top of the ramp to manovere the wheelchair around the corner either. You may wish to check out my report on our website www.amiinvisible.com We will be writing to the owner of the property to officially complain The apartments themselves were very basic, and made a travelodge look like a palace. Very disapointed indeed.

Very pleased I was very pleased with Royal Court Apartments. There was excellent service with clean rooms in a convenient location at an affordable price. This seems to be an older hotel that has been renovated. I highly recommend it.
