5 star elegance We choose this hotel because of its location - I would go back because we enjoyed it so much. The place is spotless, the staff are friendly and the room was excellent - all you have to pack is your clothes! One of the nicest things about this hotel was we barely heard other doors closing never mind noise from other rooms.

This certainly wasn't the least expensive hotel I've ever visited. If I had paid full price, it would have been quite costly indeed, but if I'm going to London again on a big budget, the Chancery Court will be the first place I think of. Between the luxurious accommodations, and the very good staff, this is a top-notch hotel.

This was a family vacation rather than my typical business trip. Regardless this hotel stands out as one of the most comfortable, friendly and well appointed that I have stayed in. Our room was courtyard facing so we never ever heard any traffic and really never heard sounds from the neighbors. What a treat. The room was very large by UK standards. There were several comfortable chairs and a sofa. Plenty of lights so one could read. The air conditioning came in handy. The Holborn Tube station is just a half block away and makes getting about very easy. The British Museum is within walking distance as is the whole of Covent Garden shopping area. The cost of breakfast is very pricey but if you go for the package it gets more reasonable. There's a Starbucks right across the street and a few other coffee shops even closer. Still an elegant breakfast buffet really started our day off right.

Great hotel in a great city The Renaissance Chancery Court is exactly what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The quality of service, professionalism of staff, standard of rooms and fabulous presentation of food was excellent. With the hotel only a 5 minute walk from the nearest tube station, the sites and nightlife of London are your's to explore, be it the shows of the West End or the wonderful ambience of Covent Garden. I will be back!

Delightfully Different I thought this hotel was excellent. It was quiet, unusual for London with staff that were welcoming attentive and provided service that you normally get from smaller out of town hotels. I would certainly return particularly as it is in a very central position.

Enjoyed it all! The hotel is really beautiful almost imposing, very elegant in an old fashioned way - the decoration reminds one of the neo-classical style. It is very well located for sightseeing and shopping - lots to be found at walking distance. I loved the courtyard. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious, but cozy and quiet, even though it looked out onto the street and the king size bed quite comfortable. The bathroom was absolutely clean, plenty of towels, bathrobes were provided. Breakfast buffet was excellent, lots of choice, though a bit on the expensive side. On the other hand, the meal we had in the "Lounge" was less impressive, maybe it was our choice of dishes but the selection was kind of heavy, not much on the menu for vegetarians or people who are trying not to gain weight. We didn't have time to visit all the facilities, so can't say much about those, but they seem to have a lovely spa.

my wife and i stayed at this hotel on the last week of jan 2009 the week london was snowed in, we had a terrible time in this hotel all because the staff especially the mangement thought that 6 inchs of snow made the whole world grinde to a stop. We could neither get room service or house keeping to our room on our final night even though we had been charged 407pounds to stay an extra night due to our train been cancelled,E
