Regents Park Hotel
156 Gloucester Place - NW1 6DT London
The Regent's Park is small, attractive hotel located between Marylebone Station and Regents Park in the heart of central London, just around the corner from Madame Tussaud's and a three minute walk from Baker Street. The 29 guestrooms have a simple blue and white décor with light oak furniture; all feature private bathrooms, hairdryers, dial up Internet connections, telephones, tea and coffee making facilities and digital televisions. Guests can start the day with continental breakfast in the sunny conservatory. The air conditioned restaurant, Rasa Singapura Garden, offers Chinese and Malaysian dishes as well as authentic Singaporean specialities such as Laksa, Cha Kuay Teow and Mee Goreng. Open for lunch and dinner, a vegetarian menu is also available. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can assist with organising theatre tickets and booking sightseeing tours. Additional services offered by the hotel include laundry and dry cleaning and room service. As well as the famous shops on Oxford Street (one kilometre away), guests can enjoy a quiet afternoon in Regent's Park, or visit Madame Tussaud's and the Planetarium, both 250 metres away. With Baker Street station two blocks from the hotel, London's many attractions are easily accessible by bus or underground. Heathrow airport is located 15 miles (23 kilometres) from the hotel, a drive of approximately 45 minutes. The Heathrow Express train service to London Paddington Station leaves every 15 minutes. The airport is also on the Underground's Piccadilly Line, which takes passengers into central London. London's black taxi cabs also service Heathrow Airport and cost 40 50 UKP to central London. The hotel is located three minutes walk from Baker Street Underground station (two stops from Paddington). Note: This property has no lift.

I would have liked a detailed map of where the hotel is as the road signs are a bit confusing around here. First inpressions were very good. Romm was clean and services all worked, although the telephone point was missing. Breakfast wasn't very good. Staf
