Great Location We loved the hotel, room little smaller than we thought but was in a great location. Staff was great, would stay there again. Traveler's tip Took the Gatwick Express from airport and then taxi from station was only $6 - $7 dollars.

Did not meet expectations Great location and room furnishings. Location can’t be beat. The roon was comfortable and clean. But at a four star property, you don’t expect to have a view of an airconditioning unit and brick wall. You also don’t anticipate having your luggage lost and problems with the concierge desk. (We just seemed to have bad luck with them.) It did not live up to the steller reviews on the website.

The only downside of this hotel is that it is a short drive up the mountain from Banff, but you couldn't get that view from in the town-site. However, even if you don't have a vehicle they do have a shuttle that will take you down to the heart of Banff for tour buses and shopping.

Fantastic Simply said, this is one of, if not the best, 5 star hotel I’ve stayed in. The service is impeccable, personal - the rooms huge and beautiful, fantastically well equipped on every level, location is perfect -- I wish I could just move in! As everyone says, Marks & Spencer is across the street and it’s a great resource and the yougurts are excellent -- unless you relish the idea of a $50 breakfast at the hotel (fab though it might be) -- if you have the energy for a 10 minute walk you could stroll over to Allan’s on Duke Street across from the Mariott -- it’s a lovely place with fresh croissants, real lattes and very bucolic (as it should be opposite Grosvenor Square)

Great Location We saved money by purchasing a variety of take away item at the grocery store just across a quiet street from the hotel.
