+ The hotel has an absolutely wonderful restaurant called Spice & Ice serving terrific fusion food - Chinese Indian. Very good selection for vegeterians as well.

+ The hotel location and room size. - They are triing to save on everything (heating, soap, towels, water during laundering, etc.). Very bad breakfast.

Good for the price! The small town of Upminister had several good reataurants. There was a McDonalds very close to the hotel, if you just can't survive without a big Mac.

Good for the price! The room was small but comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was not good for dinner, but very good for breakfast. My one complaint was that the smoking rooms were mixed in with the non smoking rooms and you could smell smoke from time to time. The end of the tube was Upminister Station, two miles away, so was not walking distance to the station. We had a car, so it worked out fine to drive to station and leave the car. 20min to London--7 lbs for travel card. Traveler's tip on dining The small town of Upminister had several good reataurants. There was a McDonalds very close to the hotel, if you just can’t survive without a big Mac.

Comfortable hotel Desite a few poor reviews I found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. Staff were very professional and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to friends and colleagues alike.

NEVER EVER EVER stay at this hotel This hotel is 70 miles from Heathrow - that is 200 POUNDS in a taxi. (Although on the phone they claim to be 20 minutes from heathrow so someone here is on drugs.). 1. Internet doesnt work in the rooms despite being advertised 2. No convenient access to ANY public transport 3. Crazy price to get here from ANYWHERE - EVER 4. It is so far off the beaten track its not funny 5. They tried to charge me even though expedia had already charged me for the stay 6. The hotel staff are rude 7. Keys dont work properly in some rooms 8. Paint peeling off walls from what I presume is water damage?!?! 9. Stains on sheets and worse - INSIDE the bed! It looks like the sheets had never been changed Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Stay somewhere else. I wouldnt send my worst enemy here - unless I wanted him to pay an exhorbitant amount get here and then get AWAY from here.

unhelpful staff I arrived very early in the morning and left my information at reception. i asked the next day but it had not been handed in!! Frantic i checked later as it had my train tickets etc in. Again was told it was not there.I set off into London and was going to buy more tickets. MY dad phoned the hotel and insisted they look for the info.It turned up in 5 mins. This meant a dash across London and expensive taxi fare just because the staff were too lazy to check properly. All the stress and expense could have so easily been avoided!!!!
