Osterley Park Hotel
764 Great West Road - TW7 5NA London
Ideal base for London Heathrow, London, Windsor, Legoland and Kew Gardens. Highly recommended. (PH1006) The Hotel is made up of two parts, the older main building and the more recently added annexe. There is also a sizeable conservatory, a great place for drinks in the evening and a much cooler place to relax when the weather is good. This excellent value privately owned hotel is situated on the Great West road, just a short taxi ride from London Heathrow. 1/4 mile from Osterley Underground station (Piccadilly line). By car From the West take M4 to junction 3, third exit at roundabout to the A4, at roundabout take the left exit (1st) and stay on the A4, pass underground station on the left, the hotel is on the left after the second set of traffic lights. From London, M4 junction 2, follow A4 West towards Heathrow after crossroads (Gillette Corner) the Hotel is on the right at the next set of traffic lights.

+Convenient stop to catch tube en route to central London -It is falling apart. The lights failed in our first room and the room we were moved to had a dingy smelly disintegrating bathroom.

-There are only two resturants near the hotel. One stops serving food too early, and the other only serves Indian food. There is really nothing else nearby, and the hotel is out of most delivery ranges.

+Much quieter than I expected for a London Hotel -The room was freezing and the desk staff could not find a separate heater so we went to bed in our coats

+Size of room was good. -Very noisy hotel - bangra drum performance one night and wedding reception the other. Main extractor vent from kitchen right outside our room vibrated till gone midnight. No hot water after first day due to maintenance work. General refurbishment going on although we were not informed of this until we started to complain about the noise, defects, etc. Had we known about this in advance we would have booked elsewhere.

+Helpfulness of hotel staff -Very noisy building work into the night making sleep impossible until gone 1.a.m. To charge for a room in these conditions is dishonest as a good night's rest was not possible
