One Aldwych has been listed as part of the Leading Small Hotels of the World and one can easily understand why. What used to be an old bank has been transformed into a more modern but tastefully decorated hotel. One walks into a large open lobby, with large bay windows and high open cielings giving a very open airy feel to the lobby area and bar. Although the staff are professional, they are also friendly and down to earth..giving one the feeling of coming home to ones private apartment rather than a hotel. Although some of the standard rooms are not large, the space is designed well and gives a cozy warm, and modern feel to it. Room Service is excellent, and staff quite quick and attentive to demands.

I have been staying here on and off for a few years. The gym is about the best set-up in central London, so if that's important it moves to the top of the list. It is in a choice location for theater and sightseeing. The staff is correct and polite and, for Europe, mostly efficient, although on more than a few occasions I have found myself carrying my own bags in from the taxi or waiting way too long for them to deliver.

Never have I had such an a hotel experince. What made it different from any other was the service. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, the service was impeccable. Everyone was more than helpful and more than anxious to please. Even the room service was timely and well done. The hotel was also very quiet. I never heard a single sound outside of the room. Definitely would recommend it to anyone. Great location.

The gracious lavendar and gray uniformed staff; amazing amenities, especially the pool; and remarkable service overwhelmingly make this hotel rival that of any other in its' class. As a single female business traveler, I felt safe and comfortable.
