I stayed at the Mitre House hotel in 2002 on my first trip overseas from the United States. Of course the hotel seemed a bit like an antique, but well taken care of, and a very friendly staff. They were very accomodating when I needed to leave some luggage at the hotel, as I had planned a 2 day trip to Paris in the middle of my 8 day vacation. The free breakfast in the morning was really nice, and the hotel is within easy walking distance to Paddington, Edgeware Road, shopping, and some really good restaurants.

Very goooood Hotel, friendly staff, good UK-breakfast served at your table, free cofee and The hole day at the bar or reception. Location less than 5 minuts walk from Paddington Tube station, 5 minuts from Bus number 15 and 23 to Trafalgar Square, and bus 23 are also going to Portobello Road. a lot of places to eat in about 1 to 10 minuts walk. Will absolut stay there again.

In principle everything was o.k. at this hotel, good location, close to the subway station, and reasonably priced. Only point, but that seems to be typical for London hotels at this price level, was, that with the two beds the room was full. Was a proble

A reasonable hotel. I had a very quiet room - 211 - which had a double bed even though I had booked/paid for a single. Location was ideal with train/bus/underground all within a very short distance. I liked this hotel because it had conventional bedding (not duvets) and the windows to the room could be opened. Would probably choose the hotel again when in London
