The Melita House Hotel is centrally located in the very heart of London, a mere five minutes' walk away from Victoria Station. The closest tubes are Pimlico and Victoria. We thought we could walk from Victoria Coach Station--boy, that was a mistake! The staff were very welcoming however and accommodated us quickly; also they explained better directions to get back to Victoria tube. The English breakfast was excellent. However, very expensive $441.92 Canadian for 2 nights.

I came for my wife's birthday last weekend we had a lovely stay. It had a good location, near to the Victoria station, where it cost only ?5 by taxi to get to. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the common areas were always clean.

+ Good location. Comfortable beds and very clean room. - It was so poor that I didn't even stay. I checked into another hotel in the area.

I recently spent the weekend in London and stayed at Melita House. I needed a very inexpensive (for London) hotel but wanted one convenient to the tube stations and not very far from central London. Melita House worked out perfect. The room was small but clean. For the price the amenities were more than I expected. I paid 70 pounds a night. This was for a single and also off season so it will vary. I expected bare bones amenities for that. However, a hair dryer, safe, and TV with some cable channels were provided. There was free wi-fi although I did not use it. The bath only had a shower but had good water pressure and temperature control. The location was convenient. It was about a mile from Hyde Park and in the summer would have been a good walk. Since it was winter, it was a short walk, a few long blocks, on a well lighted street to Pimlico tube. Even late at night I felt comfortable walking to the hotel. The rate included a full English breakfast. It was made fresh; not a buffet. They would accommodate requests such as a boiled instead of fried egg. I've stayed in very expensive hotels and not had as good of a breakfast.

Nice little hotel: nice room and good breakfast. No lift and at the end of a day of touring it is very tiring to climb stairs.

    - I was worried about the inhabitants in the adjacent room. A lot of noise late at night and after my two experiences with obvious lovies Ive gone home questioning my own preferences.

We enjoyed our stay at the Melita Hotel. The hotel is very well situated to visit London, particularly with a bus line just round the corner. When in London again, we`ll try to book here again.
