Being a Yank in Britain these days is not a bargain, but for the money and location you can't be the Hilton Park Lane. A large hotel that holds conferences (its not a boutique), its got some super restaurants and bars. Trader Vics and the Pop champagne bar are super cocktail/drink options if you don't feel like walking a block to a pub. Rooms aren't huge but are well turned out. Beds are comfy, they just upgraded the rooms so nice flat screen tvs and nice lighting, super dsl (but its not cheap - but it is the fastest of any hotel dsl I've ever used) and nice bathrooms. For a London hotel in the Sheraton/Hilton/Le Meridien/Hyatt vein, its one of the best chain hotels. The park is righ tacross the street, Green Park tube is close by and there's a lot to do/see in walking distance. Great hotel staff who try to help you with your needs. Great gym - just redone, nice Precor machines and there was a private trainer hte day I was there. Some of the nicest houskeeping staff I've seen. Great hotel, great locale, if only the dollar was stronger!

We booked 2 x King Executive rooms; the TV in one room did not work properly and in the other room, there were no bath robes. It would have been nice to have some biscuits to go with the tea in our room. Otherwise very nice hotel - scrumptious breakfast and nibbles in the afternoon.

From the beginning of the visit, we found the staff to be very helpful. Within minutes of checking-in the desk manager, responding to a personal request I had upgraded our room, and that seemed to set the pace for the rest of our stay. The cleaning crew was amazingly responsive and efficient and we had next to zero problems. I was surprised that they did not offer free WIFI, but that was a minor inconvenience. All in all it was a terrific place to stay, but expensive without Priceline.

The Air Conditioning was not on. Very hot on the Hyde park (west) side of the hotel. It was better after we were moved to the other side.

Nice Place to Stay This hotel was close to Buckingham Palace, which our four year old wanted to see - within walking distance. It was across from Hyde Park, which we didn’t get to this time around, but it’s nice to know how close it was. Staff was very accommodating, from extra bedding to helping us find last-minute theater tickets!! We didn’t eat in the hotel because the breakfast buffet was extremely expensive and we had a four year old with us!! But overall, I would definitely stay here again.

London Hilton Park Lane. The hotel is clean, comfortable and centrally located. There resturants in the lower level are not adequate and too formal for brief breakfast or lunch meetings.

Both pleasant and disappointing The reception staff are always helpful and they are excellent at what they do. This even extended to a conversation with a manager in the lift!! On the down side - I stayed in a Queen room and expected at least a separaet chair. Just sitting at the tabel or lying on the bed is hardly comfortabel for reading. But the view is fantastic. This is an expensive hotel - no doubt about it - but you have to take into account where it is. I did not use any of the restaurants etc this time but would on another visit.
