This is a great hotel because of its central location - a street back from Hyde Park, it is in a quiet square and it is walking distance to Paddington trains and Lancaster Gate tube. Rooms were clean and good.

We spent 6 nights (24 - 29 December 2006)at The London Guards Hotel and we were very impressed with the service. We were allowed to check in at 09h00am! The rooms were very clean and the reception staff were very friendly. The only thing that we were not impressed with was the unpleasantness of the kitchen staff - they were extremely rude. We will definitely be returning though!

+ Lovely big room near hyde park. fridge in room which would be really useful if we had spent a few days there. staff very friendly. - The breakfast room was a bit grim. we ordered a cooked breakfast thye night before and they hadnt recieved the order the next day. bizarrely they said they only ordered the food they needed so we had to make do with continental. the staff were lovely about it though and even offered to go out and buy food. strange they didnt keep stock but at least you know its fresh!

Hotel rooms nicely decorated and very spacious. Bathroom maybe a bit on the small side. Breakfast rather poor and Breakfast room very small so sometimtes longs queues. Nevertheless a good hotel, in a quiet area and close to bus and tube. Perfect location for a short stay in London. Really good value for money in London!!

It was nice!!! We enjoyed our stay at the London Guards Hotel. The Hotel is on a very quiet street, its old but thats what give it character, the staff was friendly, when ever we needed a Taxi there would help us and give us a price for it. The room was very comfortable, big and clean. The room also had a refrigerator, so you could by some Sodas and Water and keep it cold. We really enjoyed our stay at the London Guard Hotel and the price was right. We would for sure stay at this Hotel again.

Decent value for the price, older feel to the place but clean and I felt safe, about 4 blocks from Lancaster Gate tube (but it looked like this tube entrance will be closed in summer 2006), when I arrived the toilet was broken but the staff had someone there to fix within 5 minutes never got the TV to work right, close to Hyde Park.

A quite expensive hotel, but the room was very nice and spacious. The breakfast was too simple.

Overall, this is a good choice for travelers who are not looking for anything breathtakingly luxurious, but are rather looking for a simple hotel with basic accommodations.
