Although the room was clean, the curtains were torn and the furniture rather shabby and the bed lights badly positioned for reading in bed. The bathroom was awkward - one had to reach behing one's back for toilet paper and the loo did not flush easily.

We have been staying here at least once every 2 years for the past 10 years. We find it to be a very friendly hotel on a quiet little road that is within easy walking distance to the bus or tube. Great location for walks to Hampstead to eat crepes and have a pint of beer at the Flask pub. Highly recommended. A medium priced hotel for London.

very small rooms, asked for a fan in the room as there was no air, my request was ignored. Overpriced for what it was. Parking was a nightmare!....Won't be going back.

A very nice cosy hotel in a nice part of town. (5 minutes from Finchley Road tube and 10 minutes walk from Hampstead High Street) Very friendly and helpful staff who actually smiled. The room was clean and spacious and the shower actually worked (well!)

+ Reasonable enough for the price. - Room decor was a bit tired. No major problems though.

We were pleasantly surprised after reading other comments about this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, hotel clean and breakfast, although "continental" was not just a croissant and jam there was also cereal, fruit juice, yoghurt, cheeses, meats, toast, bread rolls, tea, coffee - all served with pleasure by the friendly and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only suggestion would be double glazing perhaps, because we had a front room and there was noise from the passing traffic

Situated in an upscale neighborhood in Hampstead, this charming hotel is perfect if you like to be outside the city but close enough you can walk to the tube. Hampstead Heath (very large park) is nearby and lovely walking and biking trails. Visit local pubs, restaurants then take a day or two and go into London for the spirit of the city. History is everywhere!
