I booked this hotel for a budget stay in London with my 3 adult daughters. For the price that we were paying we didn't expect a lot! Our room was shabby but the sheets and towels were lovely and clean and the room was cleaned well but in need of refurbishment - the furniture and bathroom looked about 20 - 30 years old. The staff were really helpful. The stairs were a challenge as our room was on the 4th floor.

Very basic budget hotel but excellent location- bus and tube very close. No lift so ask for a lower floor room.

Excellent location, close to Kensington Gardens and Queensway tube station. Friendly staff, basic breakfast facility. A place to return to.

Quite old and a bit tatty, shower was limescaled, and had to guess how to work as no indication to which direction to turn tap for hot and cold, also tv reception very poor, and not even the four basic terrestrial channels were available. Spare pillow was badly stained, with what looked like blood, and general room feel was very tatty. Breakfast was very basic, options were cornflakes, toast or croissant, with tea, coffee and OJ only. On the plus the staff were quite freindly and helpful, but the hotel needs bringing out of the 1970s.

Kings Hotel is for people who just want a stay to sleep, and not for those who want to spend much time in the room. The standard is very simple, but pretty okay. Very small and narrow rooms for two, and the bathroom is even smaller. Especially the shower

+ Easy access to Queensway station. Clean and good value for the money - I was concerned about security of my credit card when advised that the machine was not working and I was asked to pay cash!

We got what we wanted - a decent place to stay. Clean and OK rooms, good continental BF (with warm croisants!). A bit of a screwup with our rooms, but it was eventually settled. Situated very close to Bayswater and Queensway Underground. All in all - 7,5
