King Solomon
155/159 Golders Green Road - nw11 9bx London
Just 15 minutes from the West End by the public transport and a 7-minute walk from Golders Green underground station, the King Solomon Hotel is well located for the sights and attractions of London. This good value hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants, with easy access to the M1, A1 and North Circular. Those arriving by car may make use of the hotel free car park. The hotel opened its doors to the public in 1996 and was fully refurbished in 2001. The hotel includes 65 en-suite rooms, comfortable, spacious and refurbished all with standard facilities. A Kosher Italian restaurant and bar is also available on-site. The helpful and friendly staff are all that guests would expect from a well-run establishment. King Solomon Hotel is a home away from home with an excellent location for business or pleasure.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff helpful and friendly. The rooms are basic and some are on the small side. Breakfast is also basic consisting of toast, jam, boiled eggs, cheese, and a selection of drinks. The biggest problem that we encountered was that reception claimed that they had no notification of the booking from Venere, so, we were lucky to get a room. Otherwise I would reccommend this hotel.

The hotel offers a very basic and poor quality service, room was cold, bed linen unsufficient. Breakfast altough it is included in the price of the room, should not be recomended.(staff smoking in the kitchen)but good cafes in the nearby area. Staff not helpful and indifferent to the guest needs.

I put credit card details on computer when I booked, which I assumed were to prepay, but I was asked to pay by the hotel - this needs to be clearer when booking.

As we were looking for some cheap hotel in london, we found king solomon hotel a quite nice place to stay according to its price. however, our room was not as good as expected, we had a window leaning to the hallway (which we had to cover with a blanket), and the room was quite noisy. plus, it was a bit farther to undergournd than said in the web. with all, this hotel is a nice place to stay if you don't expect quite much about it, and its relationship price/quality is good.

Despite booking with a credit card over the internet our gentleman was detained on trying to leave with them saying, they do not accept internet bookings and requesting that we fax them a photocopy of our business credit card. We offered to sign a confirmation stating that the card could be used but refused to send a photocopy which struck us as fraudulent. Our gentleman was detained for over an hour and was only allowed to leave when he gave his own credit card details as well. The room and service was appalling and we will not be using this hotel again.

there were no towels in the room,I had to walk down two flights of stairs on three occasions because the telephone was'nt working each time being promised the said towels finally on the morning of our departure had to again go down to reception and physically get my own. The staff were not helpfull at all and at breakfast I was accused by one of them of taking their toast. My advice to anyone driving down to London would be SLEEP IN YOUR OWN CAR

The hotel was perfect in that it provided somewhere relatively cheap and comfortable to stay for the night. If we had wanted somewhere more extravagant we would have booked accordingly. For the money we payed I'm quite satisfied.
