Good location for London touring Nearby pubs and delis at the tube station were great for an easy bite or meal.

Location Extremely convenient - close to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Queen Elizabeth Conference Center. Around the corner from underground.

The rooms are somewhat small, but you probably won't spend too much time in them. The hotel is in a good location near St. James underground, which is convenient. It is a short walk to Buckingham Palace and Westminter Abby. There is WiFi internet in the lobby. The service not the best but not the worst...

Centrally located but small rooms Before booking, check for underground outages. The weekend I stayed, the line that runs through the St. James underground stop was under repair, so I had to walk an additional 15 minutes to the Westminster station. Not a terrible big deal, but somewhat of a hassle and it would have been much worse if the Westminster line had been OOC also.

In a quiet neighborhood, albiet steps from New Scotland Yard, this quaint, cozy hostelry offers all the expected services* at a reasonable price. Turn left onto Victoria Street and in a few blocks you'll reach the Thames at Big Ben; or, turn right and catch the Guard changing at the Palace. Wouldn't hesitate to return the next time.

Not Much For the Money The Jolly St. Ermin's was OK -- That's about the best I can say. Staff was not very welcoming. Never could get the overpriced internet service to work even after being assured that it would be taken care of. Rooms are always on the small side in Europe -- but this room was not even comfortable.

An aging grand old hotel - but clean and very comfortable. I had a 6th-floor room in the back. Very quiet and comfortable, but not the greatest view. The rooms in front trade a little more street noise for a better view out the window. Two microscopic elevators (which were never too busy - and were actually kind of cool!) I don't like a lot of hotel 'service', just a clean and comfortable room. This was perfect. The windows open. The tea pot in the room was handy. Friendly but unobtrusive staff. The location couldn't be better. I will certainly stay here again.

Good location A decent hotel in a good location for sightseeing and shopping. Our hotel room (standard twin) was OK, very clean but looking rather tired. Unfortunately it was directly above the service entrance where the bins and bottles are emptied very early in the morning. Concierge staff were great. Bar staff were not very helpful and had to be reminded twice that my daughter and I wanted a glass of wine - very disappointing after a hot and busy days shopping!
