My laptop and new digital camera were stolen at this hotel. Three weeks of holiday photographs gone, plus the financial loss. The hotel took no responsibility. They wouldn't even call the police for me. I probably didn't want the bad publicity. The clerk pointed out the multiple signs that state the hotel was not responsible for any stolen items. Makes me suspicious of why they posted the signs. I walked to the police station and filed a report.

We stayed at Edward Hotel three nights in April 2006. It is an older hotel that could be very nice, but it is not well maintained or updated. The squeaky wooden floors are loud and our neighbors kept us awake most of the nights. It was not their fault, though! We had stained and old shower towels, but they seemed clean. We had a coffee or tea maker in the room, but it was old, and the coils had build up. We did not feel comfortable to drink from it. If you like a warm shower, you must get up early. Otherwise, expect cold water. Only one of the three front desk attendants was pleasant and greeted us when we came in. The night front desk person was more interested in dozing off that greeting or answering our questions. The hotel's location is a great advantage since it is only two blocks away from the train station, bus stops, post office and small food stores.
