Hilton Watford I stayed at the Hilton Hotel in Watford for 4 nights (26-30 June 2008). This hotel has a great location & lots of car parking on a secure site. The front desk staff were excellent, helping me with directions to several places I needed to visit. On my 1st night I found my toilet would not flush & left a note in my room & reported it to the front desk. When I returned in the evening they told me it had been fixed. However, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it to flush, the next morning - another note & a report to the front desk. I am a seasoned traveller & stay in hotels all over the world & found that most toilets have an obvious knob, handle or chain that you push or pull to make them flush. When I returned on the 3rd evening, I was again told that the toilet had been fixed. However .... I couldn't get it to flush. The next morning, another note & told the front desk & was assured they would again have someone look at it! When I returned to spend my 4th & last night, I was assured it was definitely fixed! BUT ....... guess what, it still wouldn't flush for me! As I was leaving the next morning, I thought I could put up with it for 1 more night! After all, I was quite used to having a 'no flush toilet' by now! I can only imagine how awful it must have been for the maid, coming into my room each morning & greeted by a toilet used many times & a 'bit on the nose'! If you stay at the Hilton Watford & stay in room 110, please let me know if the loo is flushing!!

Great Place to Stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Room service was quick, the food was excellant and and piping hot. Hotel was very clean throughout. Would stay there longer than one night. I think this hotel would serve the business traveller well as this not in a tourist area.
