For the price and the name i associated a lot more, but then that may be because i am used to the superlative service and value in Dubai Hotels. i mean not even a music channel???? not that i needed it but i was very surprised to see guests struggling with luggage trying to get to the elevators. no one explained the services when i checked in.

Service below average Having stayed at this hotel years ago before it was a Hilton I was impressed at the physical renovation and glad that some of the original touches were still in place. They need to upgrade or further train the staff in place including the attitudinal concierge, the argumentative host at the Brasserie and the nice but hopelessly bewildered waiters who don’t know enough English to understand questions from the customers about menu items or get the orders right. At one point we thought we were in a scene from Fawlty Towers. Steak ordered medium rare came back well done and the waiter didn’t seem to understand why it was being returned, said he thought we requested well done; soup came without the side of cheese. When questioned about ingredients of bean ragout he disappeared into the kitchen for 10 mins to ask the chef something he should have known himself. Very obliging and pleasant but undertrained and seemed new at waiting tables. Service was slow and communication not good. Summary - location is great, front desk staff pleasant, but other staff seem at level of a B and B so out of their depth in this potentially grand environment. Concierge and restaurant staff are by no means Hilton standard. Traveler's tip Great place to stay for Heathrow Express, location makes it worthwhile plus proximity to Tube and rail station.

For the price I did not get value. The room was very small and pokey, really really really far from the elevators and with a few steps that you needed to drag luggage across. No restaurants to speak of. Housekeeping was low, but because one day the housekeeper decided to ignore me, they compensated by dropping a package for me in the city. They could do better TV for the money charged, not even MTV for Chrissakes.Although the staff were all very sweet, the quality is DEFINITELY not 4 star deluxe, but you cant beat the convenience of coming off the Heathrow express and not having to deal with the steps in various stations trying to get to your (probably better) hotel. Just take the elevator up to the hotel. Brilliant. I did have a better experience in November, my room was closer to the elevators not all the way at the tail end of eastbourne terrace, and also it was a well spaced room.

Main attraction is the location, especially if using Heathrow airport. Otherwise very average. My de-luxe double I would rate as average standard level. Poor value for the money I paid.

Very clean and a great location had to change rooms as first one stunk of smoke. Hotel had lost an envelope delivered for me. plug handle in sink broken. Staff unsympathetic and told me they had never lost anything before.

A mixed bag Location, location, location. This hotel is fantastically located. We stayed twice in one trip and the first time all was great. The second time the room seemed only half cleaned (mildew in the shower, previous people’s abandoned food in the room, bed partially made up).
