When we arrived at approx. 5.00 pm we found the room very cold and unfriendly and had to put on the electric heater to warm it up since there were no instructions as to how to turn up the central heating. I personally was very cold in bed and to my surprise there were no additional blankets in the room. The next morning I was also surprised to find no shower gel in the bathroom and had to ring down to have some delivered up. Also only two Everyday Tea Bags which I would have thought was most people's choice of brew.

Expensive but well located Great cheap breakfasts on offer at lots of bars/restaurants a few doors away. Med Kitchen Restaurant across the road from the hotel was good and reasonable. Le Mercury at 140 upper street was excellent.

It is important to mention that this is a businessman hotel. Breakfast is not included unlike most businessman hotels. Internet is available only via plugin (not Wireless) and cost additional 15 pounds for 24hrs. Local phone calls from the hotel are very expensive. In most business hotels I have been in breakfast was included and wireless internet was free for the guests of the hotel

Good location (near city but far enough). Good shops, restaurants and cafes nearby. Large rooms and beds which is not usually the case in London hotels. Excellent buffet breakfast. Friendly concierge. Newsletters available.
