A wonderful small hotel in an exiting neighbourhood. The breakfast was very good, which you cannot always expect any more in British hotels.

We enjoyed our stay very much, had a nice and quiet room. The location is excellent. The employees were friendly but gave us the impression that they were not really trained for their jobs, especially the ones who served breakfast. What we did not like so much was the music program in the breakfast room - opera and viennese waltz and all a bit too loud.

Room was too small for two people, expecially our bed. That's was the worst thing. The rest was good considering price and hotel's position.

Absolutely fabulous location, near museums, tube and Carluccio's. Great front and nice, small, 'clubby' lobby. Rooms small but cosy, although window pane was cracked. Appallingly disinterested and rude reception staff, who kept everybody waiting. I had booked a standard double through Venere.com but was told at check-in that only a small double was available; no price discount was offered! After a row, the booking was referred to the manager and a standard double was eventually found. Couldn't get a drink in the evening because the porter was off, so we were sent across the road to sister hotel (which wasn't as charming, although the staff were much nicer). If The Gallery could only get the front-of-house staff issue settled, it would be a cert for repeat visits, thanks to great location and price.

Overall the hotel was fine apart from the noise level from outside in the evening. We had a room on the first floor which faced the road - it was extremely noisy from midnight until 2am. One other gripe, we booked a triple room and the third single bed was a camp bed - not what we expected fro the money and not very comfortable for a teenage child.

This is a beautiful quaint english hotel in a lovely area of London. Clean rooms, althought in typical European style, they are very small, but that's fine as they were comfortable. Really nice breakfast room with that homely feeling. Certainly would stay here again!

Look elsewhere, avoid Hotel Gallery if you desire quality, service and quietness. Our stay was a nightmare from start to finish. First, we were not given an off-street room as requested. Second, water began leaking from the ceiling light-fixture over th

We had a very pleasant stay, staff was very nice, welcoming and helpful. We had two rooms and both of them were very quiet and clean. The only improvement that could be done would be the extra bed we had for the kid (a bit old)
