Falcon Owner made me feel right at home, staff works hard to provide quality service -- I stayed in a fabulous single room with great London views-- the location cannot be beat!!

Pretty ok. Close to Paddington and eating spots. The fact that there was no elevator and I was on the 4th floor was not fun (with heavy luggage). Otherwise the room and breakfast was adequate. There are better value for money hotels in the same price range in the same area though.

I have to start by saying that the staff was great! What the room lacked in spaciousness, the staff made up for it with their hospitality. The room was clean and the breakfasts were good. Located on a great little park just steps away from Paddington Sta

Wonderful, friendly, and helpful service! The location of the hotel is perfect (great scenery, near restaurants, and near train station). The employees were very kind and even helped us find something amusing to do on our first day. They provided a map and excellent directions for us, too.

At our arrival at the premesis we were told that as a house rule everyone hade to pay for the whole stay in advance. This was before we had seen our room. It was situated in the cellar where we could hear everyone flush their toilets. The window could be opened so that we could climb into the neighbour room and vice versa. Between the two rooms was a dirty extremely narrow shaft full of old paint, cigarettes and other rubbish. The ciagarette smoke from the unhygenic breakfast room was unbearable, that fresh air in the cellar was inaccessible because of the narrow space between our room and our neighbour room goes without saying. It soon became clear that the room wasn't cleaned. The bathroom had a grey towel, we found someone elses hairs on our pillows and the reception was closed. Even the tea cups were dirty. (We made a video/pictures if anyone is interested.) After a sleepless night, no shower in the dirty bathroom and a full blown asthma attac we decided to find somwhere else to stay. There were a lot of vacancies at the Falcon as well as in the neighbourhood. We found a cheaper, cleaner and better hotel at dawn, not willing to risk a breakfast in the smokey unclean breakfastroom in the cellar. Coming back for our luggage we told the receptionist, now at last at duty, that this was us leaving, not us asking for a better room. He told us we could not get all our money back, but maybe some of it, if we met the manager the following day - and we had to pay for two nights instead of one! Talking to the manager her story changed several times during a short conversation. To us it was obvious that she was trying to cover her back and had difficulties with the difference between reality and truth. She even claimed that she had sent us an e-mail in advance offering a better room from our second day, and insisted on giving us a short peek into it with the lights out and curtains drawn. (It was at the recetion.) Wanting to get on with what we were planning to do in London

I have to start by saying that the staff was great! What the room lacked in spaciousness, the staff made up for it with their hospitality. The room was clean and the breakfasts were good. Located on a great little park just steps away from Paddington Station. Great neighborhood for food and drink. We had a triple room at the back away from the street. One odd feature was the closet where our toilet was located. It was tiny. I found it difficult to use gracefully without leaving the door open.
