The Dolphin &, Shakespeare hotel has been in the market for 20 years and is located in Paddington, right in the heart of central London. It has built a respectable clientele from all over the world and especially from the neighbouring countries, as well as Scandinavia, Italy, Germany, &, the USA. Dolphin Hotel occupies an attractive Victorian building, first built in the 1850's and is situated in a tree lined square, around 100 yards away from Paddington main line and underground stations while Hyde Park, Madame Tussaud's, British Museum, V &, A Museum, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Oxford Street and numerous other London attractions are all either within walking distance or within easy reach. The area is covered very well by a number of restaurants, which offer food of different tastes from fast food to Indian, Italian, Greek or Chinese. Many original features of this building have been restored with the comfortable lounge being one example. It is located on the ground floor of the hotel and offers relaxing views over a delightful garden. The hotels aim has always been to offer value for money, a good service within the meaning of budget accommodation. All of the rooms are equipped with satellite televisions, refrigerators, kettles for tea and coffee making and direct dialling telephones. Most of the rooms also have hair-dryers, trouser-press and safes.

    We had a confirmed booking for two twin rooms with ensuite facilities. No twin rooms were available and we were given two rooms with en suite facilities but with two pairs of metal framed bunk beds and two narrow single beds. The sheets and towels...

    the room was comfy breakfast was very good and the location was fantastic just across the road from Paddington underground and main railway station plus the bus stop at the top of the street. could not have been more central.

    Hotel looked fantastic in the photographs. However when we go there the consiege was puffing away on a cigarette with a guest with all doors and windows closed and heater on. Had extremely small room on one of the lowest floors near the stairs. ...

    If you want more luxury, check into a more expensive hotel but if youre gonna be in town all day, this is the perfect stay. Tube nearby, Internet cafe nearby, great pizza place nearby: we had a great time and will be back this year...

    This is a very basic London hotel, but for the price I didnt expect much else. Very good location. The hotel has no lift and if you are on the 4th floor with very heavy bags this is annoying. The single was tiny but clean and quiet.
