My wife and I travel to London and stay in the city two – three times per year. We love the central / convenient location of the Crown Plaza, St. James and have had a number of positive experiences over the past 5 -6 years.

Walking is not an option for business people, so cabs can get pricey. Room service food was good and internet speeds were great. Hotel room was clean, big and had a nice TV. I would recommend this hotel to business people who don't want to spend money but still want to be close enough in a nice hotel.

Good enough The room is very small, but good enough if you are going to use only for sleep. The Hotel is close to Buckingham, the parliament, and the subway station but nightlife is almost nonexistence.

It was in a very convenient location. There was a public library and also a market nearby. The neighborhood was very attractive. Check-in was painfully slow, but other small problems we had were fixed promptly.

When we arrived, we were greeted by a doorman in a top hat. Just inside, we passed a staffed concierge desk with a helpful person at the ready. The lobby was welcoming, and the front desk staff was eager to accommodate. The standard rooms were spacious enough for my wife and I, and were clean and comfortable. The restaurant was first-rate, and the wait-staff were an international mix of true prorfessionals. Afternoon tea in the garden by the fountain is something everyone should try -- it is awesome being surrounded by the brick walls and beautiful gardens with a clear English sky above.

great location! stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Concierge and staff very helpful. Did not eat at the hotel but pub just down the street that had great reasonably priced food. Room was good size. Room had Mini-bar, safe, terry bathrobes. huge bathroom. however carpet was worn and stained, but overall experience was very good. Traveler's tip on local attractions Very close to Buckingham palace - just a short block or 2. Short walk to Westminister Abbey and Parliament, etc. Also short walk to Victoria Station and St. James Tube station.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. The Concierge helped us with tickets, directions and anything else we needed. The hotel is located a stone's throw from Buckingham Palace and is very close to shopping and train stations. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Location of the hotel is fantastic - can walk to many London attractions. We went on a theatre break and felt that we were given a very poor standard double room - small, dingy and fairly scruffy. There was a light bulb out, a rip in the bedspread and there was no possibility of reading in bed as the lights were in the wrong place and too dim.

What a delight to gamble on line and be pleasantly surprised to get what you asked for when ordering from the dark. The Crowne Plaza was wonderful.
