We stayed 5 days simply because I had prebooked but one day would have been enough!! Definitely not value for money. A surcharge of 3% (not mentioned on the site) for paying by Visa and payment was upfront as well. Also had to pay a deposit for the room key!!!Breakfast is as described (very basic) but the whole hotel is in need of refurbishment, quite worn and tired.Rooms were serviced daily but long term cleaning such as curtains is needed. Curtains in our room were an asthmatic nightmare of grey grime. However, the rooms were lovely and warm but extremely small.Tea and coffee facilities was a cup to be made for you on request by reception!!!The late night reception fellow and chambermaid were friendly and nice. Management and other staff were polite and cordial but not a comfortable atmosphere. The outside appearance of the entry area/window boxes (dead and last ,when all other neighbouring hotels were colouful and maintained) reflected the care of the taken with general surroundings. Disappointing when a little effort and energy could make a difference.
