This hotel is located amongst many similar hotels in buildings built in the mid-1800's in North London. As such, it is priced competitively and offers the same basic amenities as its competitors (breakfast is great!) but is definitely a 'no frills' place to stay. Richard, the manager, was very helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone who 'just needs a place to sleep' for three of four days. The rooms and hallways are small (as I would assume would be the case in all of the hotels in the immediate area) but they are clean. If you are in London either singly or with a partner (but not with kids) for sight-seeing this would be a good choice. The entrance to the Kings Cross tube station is literally steps away.

room was small, the bathroom is just a little bigger than the bathroom in the airplane. The room was newly painted and they let us use it immediately which we had a hard time sleeping because the paint smell was so strong. There were even some used lights that was left in the bathroom maybe by the electrician. good point theres free wifi. breakfast didn't even try it. but my companion said it was very little. pillow was nonexistent.

I think this hotel should improve the following things: 1) room was not so clean and we found a water boiler very dirty inside; 2) breakfast place was very little (just three tables) and breakfast time was too early (7-9 a.m.); also it was very stinky and smoky, since each breakfast flavours was inside the room; 3) it's not admittable that 5% was charged on my bill caouse I payed by credit card..we are in 2007 boys! this was my first time in london, and i'll surely repeat this experience, maybe, why not?at the Central again..!!london is an amazing city and the B&B where I've staid has an excellent position, just few minutes far from king's cross station and the main facilities needed by tourists..

We were on the top floor, facing the back of the building so there was not much noise. The main bedroom was ok, was getting a little tired and could do with a re-decorate but it's a budget price so I didn't expect the Ritz. However the 'Bathroom' was very (very) small, the shower cubicle needed some repair work on it, there was tape covering the grout lines, and it looked like it had been there a while. Even for a budget property this wasn't very good, and would not have cost much to recify.

We did not sleep at Central hotel, the guy from reception send us (after an hour of waiting for room) to building across the street... I do't know, maybe it's normal in UK. The room was clean and quiet, but very very very small - but what could you expect for 75 pounds a night.

Allover it´s okay. We had a room in the souterrain and we heard the Tube. It´s an advance to have the tube that close, it can be a disadvance! We´ve been quite exhausted from running thru this big, big City, so we didn´t mind the noise of the tube. All in all we would take a room again at the Central Hotel. The Breakfast was okay and at least the room was clean and big enough for two travellers.

In consideration of the quality of hotel or bed and breakfast in England We can say that the level is medium. They have been very friendly. Best regards

Good accomodation, small but clean, though not one of the cheapest places. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Just 2 minutes to the tube. A place where I would go again.

- Room n°31 stinked. - Breakfast room is so small. We had to wait untill a table was free (happened 1 out of 2 days). - Location in Argyle Street is both very quiet and very close to King's Cross Station (main rail + underground station). British Museum is within walking distance. I'll definitively choose this area again next time.
